Shipping and Delivery


Standout Designs solid wood TV consoles and furniture ship throughout the continental United States and Canada via LTL freight truck. Deliveries are weekdays by appointment during normal business hours. You must inspect and then sign for your furniture.

Orders normally ship in 1-2 business days. Transit time ranges from 1 to 6 business days (a little longer for some locations to receive White Glove delivery).

Furniture Delivery Methods and Charges

We do not fold shipping costs into our prices and then advertise "free shipping" all the time. Instead, you choose and pay only for the services you need. Rates are "per trip" so multiple pieces deliver to the same address at the same time for no additional charge!

Super Saver (Customer-Assisted)

This method is the same as Standard except you must help the driver take your TV furniture off the truck because the truck will not have a lift-gate. It is just as fast. Your address must accommodate a 53-foot tractor-trailer. If not, please choose Standard.

Standard (Lift-Gate Service)

The driver will wheel your TV furniture into your home, into your garage if going through your home might cause damage, or into your apartment (freight elevator required if above the ground floor). The driver will not unpack your TV furniture or take away packaging except for the pallet. While a few exterior stairs are OK, the driver will not take your TV furniture up or down any interior stairs. Please choose White Glove if you want any of those services. Your address must accommodate a 28-foot tractor-trailer.

White Glove Delivery (2-person with Stair Carry)

Two delivery people will take your TV furniture to your room of your choice (up or down two flights of stairs as required), unpack it, position it, and remove the packaging (original packing materials required to return your TV furniture). The delivery people will not install shelves, door glass, or accessories nor will they handle your electronics. Service Center Customer Pick-up

This low-cost option lets you pick up your TV furniture at your convenience from the nearest freight carrier service center, typically during expanded business hours. Please make sure that your vehicle can fit your furniture in its carton.

Additional Freight Charges May Apply in Limited Cases

Some hard to reach places (e.g. Martha's Vineyard and other islands, parts of British Columbia, weather-ravaged areas) might be subject to extra charges imposed by our carriers. If this applies to your order, we will contact you to discuss the additional cost.

Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and US Territories is possible but expensive (at least $600!) and quoted upon request. Please contact us with the model you want and your address. Transit time is normally 10 to 14 business days.

 Delivery to Canada

Standout Designs ships to Canada! GST/PST is additional and is not collected by us. You must engage a broker to speed your furniture through customs. We recommend Pacific Customs Brokers Ltd. The fee for Standout customers is CA$100 plus a nominal credit card processing fee. Contact Maria or Tammy at 888-538-1566 for more information. You can also specify a different customs broker.

More about the Furniture Delivery Process

Shipment. Your Standout AV console and/or other solid wood furniture normally ships within 2 business days after we receive your order so long as it is not backordered. We will email you a tracking/pro number when we ship your order.

Appointment Scheduling. While our carriers call to schedule your delivery, we encourage you to call the carrier. Our order tracking page will display carrier contact information a few hours after your shipment is picked up. Appointments are typically for 2-3 hour windows in the afternoon. Local traffic patterns often dictate available appointment slots.

Inspection and Signing. You must be present to inspect and then sign for your solid wood TV furniture. Our packaging is designed to allow quick access: cut the plastic bands around the carton and slip off the top. Then remove the protective foam. If the delivery person does not allow a quick inspection, please note that on the delivery receipt.

Transit Damage?

Though we pack our Standout furniture very well and ship each piece on an oversized pallet to protect it, transit damage still occasionally occurs. Please note any damage on the delivery receipt or refuse delivery. Then notify us by calling 877-325-9663 (leave a message if after hours). Pictures are always helpful. We will work diligently to remedy any and all concerns. In some cases, we can send a part (e.g. door frame), so it may be more convenient to accept delivery. In others, it may be appropriate to reject delivery.

Standout Designs ships via Con-way Freight, ABF Freight, and/or HomeDirect USA. Items under 150 lbs and not travelling with furniture on pallets ship UPS.
