Our Products

Standout Designs offers exclusive home theater furniture direct to consumers. We standout from most other furniture companies - including some major American brands - because we build high quality, reasonably priced furniture here in the United States and we make it from genuine solid American hardwood. We use no veneer, MDF, or particleboard.

As highly functional television stands, our furniture consoles host electronics with ease through features like removable backs and discreet cable management. As highly styled furniture pieces, they aesthetically unite modern televisions with other room furnishings.

Our History

Standout Designs traces its roots to Cabinet Industries, Inc., founded in 1946 by the late Joseph Adler to build wood television cabinets for TV manufacturers. Known for quality, value and service, CII supplied companies from around the globe with wood TV cabinets for nearly 60 years. During the first big screen era, the company built over 1 million CRT rear-projection cabinets for Sony and Toshiba.

In 2004, with new televisions no longer incorporating wood cabinets, CII began a pilot project to produce an original television console for underneath these new sets (the A/Viator). The positive market reception of this first effort gave birth to a new venture called Standout Designs.

  • Solid Construction. We construct Standout furniture using time-honored techniques, superior joinery, strong glue and screws. It arrives ready to enjoy, not assemble. With proper care, it will remain strong and beautiful for generations to come.

  • Compelling Pricing. We have no fancy stores, glossy catalogs, middlemen, or huge markups. We do have local lumber and local talent. The result is solid wood American furniture that is as highly affordable as it is highly stylish.
